CE MARK
FULLY COMPLIANT
Since 1 July 2014, in accordance with the The Construction Products Directive (CPD), it is a legal requirement for fabricated structural steelwork in the UK to be CE marked. The CE marking of a product demonstrates compliance with the appropriate manufacturing standards within the European Union for steel fabricated structures.
When these changes were introduced in 2014, William Smith Engineering was subject to a rigorous audit by the British Board of Agreement (BBA) of our workshop facilities, our quality systems and the competence of our staff.
Up to and including Class 2 CE accreditation
After a very thorough and careful inspection, we were awarded CE accreditation: up to and including Execution Class 2. Future audits take place on an annual basis to ensure compliance with the relevant controls are maintained and the highest standards of quality are upheld by William Smith Engineering.
